Tell someone about cervical cancer

Ok, so after talking to S (or was it being talked to? several times) about cervical cancer and HPV (human papillomavirus) i decided to check it out myself and here are some of the findings :

1) Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common cancer among Malaysian women. 2nd to breast cancer. But it is also the most preventable cancer.

2) It can occur at any age of a woman's life, beginning in adolescence and many who are diagnosed with cervical cancer were most likely to have been exposed to HPV in their teens and 20s

3) Cervical cancer is the abnormal growth of cells in the cervix and this abnormal growth of cells is caused by the HPV.

4)The best (or probably the only way) to detect the abnormality of cell growth is Pap smear. (early detection save lives!)

5) HPV infects not only women but men too.

6) It's possible to be infected with HPV without having intercourse.

Now is the time.
