Short Jots

I can finally say i'm thankful for the group of people who decided to make a day off for working citizens. It has only been 6 months, and i can truly say school has been crazily busy and fun.
It's no walk in the park because i find myself, many times, at the end of each day, heaving a sigh of relief; being so glad that i've managed to at least "put out the fire" for that day.

The other day, i had my closest encounter to an international celebrity. Mr.Archuleta made a surprise visit to our school

this was put up by the students 2 hours before the big visit.. and the teachers were instantly turned into bouncers and security personels (this is the perfect example of teachers having to wear many hats). And so i was assigned to secure this particular corridor to the hall where he was to perform; to keep any students who secretly sneaked out of the hall to jump onto him while he made his way to the hall.

my assigned corridor; waiting for Mr.Archuleta to make his way to the hall.

and there he comes...with his entourage.. I was delighted because i knew then i had the opportunity to meet him before the students at a close proximity.

This was just before he goes into the hall to perform. Briefing by his manager. This is my closest i got to him.
Few days later, i received a call from a friend who managed to get tickets to his showcase at the very last minute. I hesistated but im glad i said yes finally because his last song on the organ was wow.!
My closest encounter with a celebrity and no i did not shake his hand.

Don't know if this only happens in Malaysia but i won't believe it if you tell me that we are having an economic depression when i see this.

Long queue for Zara warehouse sale.

Unbelievable but true.
