Perhentian trip was more than i expected it to be.
Prior to the trip, we were warned againts unscrupulous cab drivers and beach boys taking advantage on girls going out to snorkel. With these in mind, our first day was plagued with unnecessary paranoia...from cab offers down to the "welcome" drinks.
Upon reaching the place
I guess it was a first time for all 3 of us....
1) to be away in an island with only other girls
2) to snorkel in the open sea
3) to see the underwater world in its most natural form.
And let me tell you, it was simply breathtaking! The very minute i jumped out from the boat and dipped my head into the sea, the view i saw was wow! The corals, the sea anemones, the fishes of different sizes ~ the marine life as a whole were just so beautiful and beautiful would be an understatement. To see it with my own eyes and to reach out and touch it with my own hands were just awesome. And when i looked at all these, how happy the underwater creatures looked, i can't help but praise my Creator and be reminded of His provisions for us, His creation.
4) to touch and swim with fishes with no glass barriers or within a boundary
5) to canoe in the open sea.
6) to be in Perhentian Island (basically!)
We not only did all those but everything typical girls would do while holidaying in an island... check out hunks and giggled loud enough to let them know our presence when they walk past.
From this trip too, I find going on a holiday in a small group ( in this case, 3 girls)
The food was good. We had seafood for all three days. Overall i would give it a 8/10.
Kuala Besut.
