Melaka

Was in Melaka for a short weekend trip with my TLC buddies.
A reunion trip for most of us. Not easy to bring everyone together and so going on this trip (though a short one) has been good to just be in each other's presence.

There were just so so many things that we wanted to get our hands on... chicken rice ball, cendol, satay celup, nyonya food etc. which made us spend 3/4 of this trip on roads of melaka looking for the "world best" cendol, the "power" satay celup or the "original" chicken rice ball. Manouevering through the streets of our Bandar Bersejarah weren't easy. We could be one block away from our desired location, and yet going in circles, and that could be frustrating sometimes. Talking about so near yet so far.

Nevertheless, Melaka was nice. A good mix of modern and old fashioned architectures. There were the quaint looking buildings on one side which were appealing in its own sense and the other side, the modern looking ones which were equally attractive too.

Jonker street was the bomb for me! The food, the buildings, the shopping and the atmosphere.

So many things to eat and see and do but so little time.

Another fun x10 trip.
