Green Everyday Concert

Read here
Though the intentions may be good; to promote awareness on energy conservation and climate change.. it still seems ironic to me. Somehow, i just cannot connect how having more than 30 artistes to perform on stage would help make any difference in energy conservation in the long run. I reckon a concert that scale would only further "kill" mother nature more with the amount of garbage strewn all over the site or with the extra amount of energy needed to generate power for people (majority, uninspired) to party all night with only the favourite artiste's face to remember the morning after.
I guess there are better ways to create awareness than to have a concert in the name of Mother Nature. Why not run a nationwide "clean our rivers" programme or a long term recycling project instead?
Sigh.
Another redundant, unnecessary waste of resources and manpower.

And apparently, they are planning to have another one next year. *cringe*
