It's so easy to celebrate Christmas without Him being in the celebration at all, with no room in our hearts for Him

It's so easy to be caught in the hype of all the activity of this season and having only ourselves to think about.

About our food, our perfect gifts, our Christmas clothes, our carols and decor.

When in fact, it's all about Him for love's sake became poor.

Forgive us.

Forgive me.

And when the presents are all opened, the carols all sung, the food all eaten, the money all spent, we found ourselves being in the routine once again.

But if we were to look harder, listen more carefully, He's still there, knocking at the door of our hearts. Waiting to come in. Waiting to embrace.

He remains. Still the same.

Yesterday, today and forever.
