Sigh....that was what happened when they came for a visit and posed me this "at-that-moment-mind-boggling" question. I failed terribly as a pj-ian, living in pj all my life until recently, but still, would consider myself a true pj-ian and yet when posed with such a question, i just couldn't deliver.
Klang takes pride in their pork ribs tea....bak kut teh
Malacca has their chicken rice ball
Ipoh with their oh-so-famous sar hor fun
Penang..need not mention.
even small town Kajang is famous for their satay.
It's like if your are living in those places, you'll just need to bring them to those places which sells those famous gastronomical delights without even need to think twice. It's easy!
But Pj?
I can't possibly say Burger King although i know alot of places outside Klang Valley which do not sell Whoppers, but burgers..no..no..i can't say that..that's American..not Pj..
wan tan mee? maybe, but i haven't heard of a really famous famous one in pj.
So i struggled and hoping that something would just pop up in my head.....
Eventually, i said,
"Actually i think..we have everything...no specific famous food"...
and..brought them out for asam laksa and pan mee.
haha!..super cheating...:)
